I am amazing. I kid you not. Here are is the events that made my day.
This morning i was driving a friend of mine, kellie, to school when we began conversing about her xbox live. Apparently she doesnt get very good connection in many parts of her house, so I offered a solution. Basically this. I continued to tell her to put the homemade reflector behind the antenna of her router.
Kellie sat their for a second, then began to say something before she abruptly stopped. I asked her why she had stopped saying what she thought, to which she replied it was nothing. I then said "You didnt think your router had an antenna, did you?" She admitted to thinking that exact thing.
This was where I then began to joke her because I can always "read" her mind. It was during this that I mentioned how I would find it so funny if she started telling me to get out of her head.
It wasnt until a few hours later, during third period, that she saw me and admitted to thinking about how she wanted me out of her head, just before I had said it in the car earlier.
Kellie, I am in your head....watch out. I know when your judging me.
On our lacrosse team, I am the only high school goalie.
For practice today, we mixed up the high school and middle school teams so that we could scrimmage together.
A buddy of mine, Clark, made a bet that I couldnt score a goal on the other side of the field after my saves. If I did score, he would tell me who had one of my highlighters (which he took earlier that day and spread across the school).
So whenever I made a save, for the first 30 minutes, I would refuse to clear the ball by passing. Instead, I would go into a full field sprint and shoot on the other goal.
Out of the three successful attempts of getting down field, I made two goals.
A fourth attempt was made where I shot too high.
The best part about that was no one could catch me. Clark (who was on my team but didnt want to lose the bet), along with many of my opponents, would chase me down field. Those few who were close to keeping up with me, as well as those who I sprinted past, would slap me and hit me with their sticks like crazy. My left arm is all banged up now, but it was worth it.
Later in the practice, after I gave up on more goals, Clark bet all my highlighters that I couldnt go the rest of practice without letting one goal in. I had an hour.
No goals went in until we had 15 minutes left. Someone shot the ball which I stopped with my body. The only problem was after the ball hit the ground, my foot hit the ball and rolled it in. The goal counted. I marked the kid mentally.
The next time he had the ball and was coming towards the goal to shoot, I sprinted out of the goal and layed him out.
It was blissful. He, along with everyone else on offense, was very cautious about keeping their distance from the goal after that.
What a great day.
