My friend turned to face me over the seat of the bus. "Check this out" he said. He showed me a YouTube video by the name of "Fails of the Weak-Volume 36." I laughed so hard and for so long that the other people on the bus were disturbed with my joy. We then proceeded to watch five more videos, disregarding our fellow passengers, until it was time for me to depart. That continued over the next four days. On the weekend I began to search for the videos on my own. I came upon the website for "Fails of the Weak." Which I would later learn was called Achievement Hunter. As my eyes took in the screen, a universe of content lay before me. There were Lets Plays, RT Shorts, and something of which I was unaware how important it would become to me: Red vs Blue. The moment I realized that I could watch all this content and laugh, that it would never end, was one of the greatest of my life. I was overjoyed when I realized there was a place where people loved to make this content, and I loved watching that content. It inspired me. I knew that I could make my own films someday. If these few friends could create an internet empire, than surely I could create my own shows as well. Ever since that day, I have been studying film and animation in the hopes that I could create content that people could enjoy the same way I enjoy the work of Rooster Teeth.
