1:15:20 why didn't rufio just bang her  she looks about 17-18, instead of kidnapping that middle aged lady.

geoff was thoroughly disturbed by the child killing omfg. i must say the shot of the black kid running into his fathers arms for safety only to be stabbed was pretty fucking devastating.

That's usually how it is with parents (in my experience). I know a few fathers online that draw the line at children violence.

Continuity error: at 21.00 note the 'overheated' green four-door car--a 1974 Plymouth Valiant--parked along the side of the road when the blue Chevy Citation pulls over; this car belongs to the 'Billy Crystal/Gabe Kaplan love child' character. Take a look in particular at the headlights, grill and placement of the front turn signals. Now look at the grill and turn signals at 23.50, when the guy supposedly has to pull over the car again due to overheating. That turn signal design can only belong to either a 1971 Chevy Chevelle SS or Chevelle Malibu! It's one thing to see a character's hat or sunglasses disappear in one scene only to reappear in the next. But a car? Did the director's grandmother need her Valiant for a church function at the last minute--the Funeral Committee called and she needed to whip up and deliver a pan of lemon bars right away--but thankfully the editor's brother-in-law had his Chevelle available? (Just don't show the wheels or you'll see it up on blocks, the brother-in-law cautioned.)

Except it's more like 240 because unlike prose, you can't read through poetry as fast as you want because you'll miss all of the details that are hidden within the cryptic language.

id like to point out that the glen knew and quoted about Grendel the novel only a few years after it was even written story wide. Grendel written in 1971. That's the equivalent of an 8 year old today pretending to be katness everden if they got lost in the woods

No, they counted her. She was stabbed before any of the action started. #8. Aka, the sheriff's wife, aka the tent rape victim. The one who was almost death 6 or 7.

Of everything in this movie, the most ridiculous is that there was a bear trap in those woods, and then the dad didn't figure out how to get out. You have to hold the half closer to you with your hands while pushing the trap open with the heel of your other foot.  But no, he gave up instantly.  Welp, my small child can't open it, guess I'm dead now. Goodbye cruel world, guess I'll just die of blood loss, then dehydration or something.  He should've been able to get himself out on pure adrenaline within the first five minutes of it happening.  What a ridiculously contrived situation.

    Video was great, though.

That was terrifying. I was looking up Michael's birthday when Geoff called him a "Douchey 29 year old" and then that led me to also clicking on Lindsay's wiki page. And as I was reading her personal life part, it mentioned her stage name Lindsay Kavlin and 2 seconds later Michael brings that up in this video. That literally scared me. Like I felt fear........

Okay, like "Thankskilling 3" was a trip, and in general a lot of these movies have made no sense and been pretty fucked up, but when a child starts raping a woman in a tent surrounded by dismembered bodies while other children  watch... that's the line. Holy fuck, what is this movie even... Was it legal to have a child actor do an explicit rape scene with an adult; is it legal to have child actor do a rape scene at all (especially one in which he actually performs sex acts)? Like... this is the most questionable shit I've ever seen...

It's highly probable that the older Glen was played by an actor who was at least 18 years old and therefore not a minor.

the kid started off as eight (as stated by his dad) and this takes place ten years later so the kid was actually 18. i think the more disturbing aspect was the child murder.

I mean, if by "not bad" you mean it was so heavy-handed and obvious that it literally bonked you on the head like Bam-Bam... Like it worked, it foreshadowed events in the plot, it was just really, really belligerent.

-!- Turned out that this post has almost nothing to do with this theatre mode -!-

so... about the apparently Aussie actor they started talking about at around 28 mins in...

So, Cosi (pronounced Coz-ee, is meant to be a shortening of the name of an Italian Opera that the story keeps comming back to if memory serves) Is an Australian short play about a guy who volunteers in a mental Asylum in the 70's or 80's before they were closed down. I know this because I had to read it for year 12 English and write a review about it, then watch the movie... then watch a 3 man acting troupe preform it (... the play has about 8 roles, so yeah, not great), and then spout a lot of bullshit about symbolism and finding yourself by helping (in this case "crazy") people. The story itself was... not great, kinda predictable, and the "mental patients" depicted were all incredibly stereotypical. They have the OCD patient, the depressed patient, the Autistic patient, the drug addict admitted by her family, and the clearing mentally unstable patient who may or may not have killed someone before the story starts... very prejudiced and inaccurate with it's stereotypes roo, only upside to having to read it is that it was short, and therefore easy to speed read as revision before the exam and get good marks on.

(to anyone else who did year 12 in Victoria, Australia, around 2010 and had to read it too... IT'S DARK BECAUSE THE FUCKING LIGHTS ARE OFF! Not because they are emotionally lost! Not because they don't know where their lives are going! It's dark because they can't find the fucking light switch!)

... sorry to anyone who read all of that, but just had flash backs of high school and annoying teachers looking for symbolic meaning where there is none when Jack said "Cosi". Also, sorry to anyone who has read/seen Cosi and enjoyed it, but having to pull literature apart in an English class is a great way to ruin even a good book/play/movie

I have honestly say I have never seen Geoff that upset until the end with the massacre.  For all of his tough guy crap he's such a softie and I get it, those scenes were not fun.  Jack saw it more as 'movie effects' than the whole shi-bang....and well, Michael's just a weird one at times....But wow, that movie was shades of awful all over.  Geoff, I got your shoulder if you need to hug it out.
