Oh man, I usually don't care when you guys talk about things your semi-oblivious to, but holy shit as a pilot you guys talking about automated planes hurts. I don't ant to misconstrue air travel as unsafe, but pilots are still around because shit has to be incredibly redundant, and a person who's able to improvise is a huge part of that. Sure, AF447 would have never crashed without pilot error, as with many disasters. But a computer could not have kept Japan Airlines 123 in the air as long as the crew did, it could not have even hit the runway with United 232, let alone soft enough to keep 2/3 of the passengers alive. Simply put, the risk of massive death and damage from a single borked line of code or a single unaccounted for bolt could be catastrophic, and oftentimes the only thing preventing catastrophe is experienced insight into the issue by the pilot.

Jonathan Kent (as much as I like Kostner) was the literal worst part of MoS, almost all of that movie's failure (aside from the graying out) can be traced to him in a narrative sense.

When it comes to Jeremy playing the trumpet, the problem will be recovering his embouchure. If you have not trained for a long time, your lips will not do what you want. To people who have never played in the brass section, yes, that is a big issue. Though, I have heard it is also a big issue with woodwinds.

Then again, having Jeremy play like that will probably be hilarious. Make sure to record a video of his first try.

Internet translation between Japanese and English is spotty at best, and atrocious at worst. You might get something that's more or less gets the point across but is stilted and awkward sounding, and that's just when translating something simple.

Anyhow, as a whitey white guy living in Japan, I can say that you can probably more or less get by without speaking any Japanese, at least in the bigger cities (and many people will try to speak English to you whether or not you use any English, and will often repeat what they've just said in Japanese in (often broken) English). I can also confirm that, in the presence of any Asian person, many Japanese people will immediately defer to them even if that Asian person speaks no Japanese at all and you have already spoken to them in Japanese yourself, which can be a bit frustrating at times.

Entirely possible as @Treeko4545 said, since I don't think they ever take into account views and audience response on the website when they're considering how well videos are doing, and instead just refer to the numbers they get on Youtube. They have, (very slowly), been getting better about taking the website into account for things, but they're mostly still in a Youtube mindset at all times since a larger portion of the audience is there.....

I'm not criticizing him on anything else except for that stated fact. Am I not allowed to do that? It's common knowledge where he's from. I'm not criticizing his appearance, his style of living, his diet, or whatever. Simply what he himself has stated. He's from the suburbs, not a Chicago native. Simple as that. As someone who actually grew up on the heart of Chicago's streets, suburban kids are generally white who come into our city to visit over the weekend, clog our transportation system and traffic with their drunken shenanigans, and go back home to their suburban bubble communities to claim how Chicagoan they are and at the same time bitch about homelessness and city poverty.

@wonderbread58, that's awesome man, thank you for your service. I've had multiple family members serve, 3 in the Marine Corps. My mom's Uncle died in Vietnam serving as a Marine. Like I said, it wasn't a big deal what Jack said, but Marines take a lot of pride in being one and I felt like people should know that Driver was a full fledged Marine.

I literally just got back from my trip to Japan. I don't speak a lick of Japanese nor can i read the characters (I'm just an anime fan, would love to learn japanese). If you go to the main touristy cities (Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto, maybe Hiroshima) many of the signs and public transports have English. Google translate has gotten much better over the last couple of years and there are many websites to help you with how to get around. Websites i use are japan-guide.com and odigo.jp. Ordering food may be of more difficulty, but many places have menus with pictures or sample displays if they don't have an english menu.

WHAT?! Gregg Miller knows Beast Wars and Gargoyles? I NEVER hear anybody talk about those shows outside of people I know who are big fans.

They can never do a true reboot Beast Wars because the show was so heavily tied to the lore of the original series. So trying to do a BW reboot based in like the movie or the current TV series universe is impossible. The only thing they could do are bastardized versions of the characters, which is what they already do with every other character in the movies.

Although, Gargoyles I'm surprised they haven't done anything with. As soon as Disney bought Marvel, they should have slotted them into the Marvel universe. Just another superhero group in NYC, right? And now that Doctor Strange is out and they're starting to explore the magical side of the MCU, I can just imagine a button scene at the end of one of the Marvel movies with Tony Stark at some rich people party and he bumps into David Xanatos. But I guess if they haven't done anything by now, they never will. :(

Also, I'm completely with Jeremy on the console side of things. I accept and recognize that PC is theoretically better when it comes down to it, but the "better" aspects aren't enough to be worth the trouble to get games to work properly, particularly if you don't have a relatively up to date gaming rig. I also want to be able to use my computer for more things than just gaming, and particularly have it be a laptop rather than a desktop, so that I can do things on it away from home and be able to use it fully everywhere. However, gaming laptops that are good enough to stay capable for the same length of time as a console, tend to cost significantly more than a console that I'd only use for gaming. It's particularly more expensive when I don't have the expertise to buy and build it myself, nor the time to do the research necessary to get that expertise. As is, I can either get a good gaming laptop, (which I know laptops are still drastically looked down upon in the gaming community most of the time), and have to take time out to make sure games work, and keep things running smoothly all the time, or I can get a cheaper laptop that doesn't work at console levels for gaming but does what I need to for things in general, and get a console and just have games run without any extra hassle and still have money left over that would have otherwise been spent on the better computer.....

I also loved how Jack and Ryan were making it seem like every console game doesnt run good at all yet every time a major AAA game gets released PC gamer or some other similar site is bitching at how shit doesnt work correctly because" its just a shitty port from consoles that are holding back games."...and those issues are always less so or dont exist on the console version.

It sounds like Jack is saying the new Ghostbusters ruined his childhood. And trust me, if anybody knows about ruined childhoods, it's a Transformers fan. And believe me, there is nothing a company can do by rebooting a franchise that will ruin your childhood. The original Ghostbusters are still there just like the original Transformers are still there. Transformers has been "rebooted" more times than any other franchise. One doesn't overwrite the other. It's called a multiverse.

Heck, they're now rebooting another beloved franchise from my childhood : Reboot. The new one, called Reboot: The Guardian Code, is live action with CGI elements and looks to have almost nothing in common with the original. It's pure garbage! But, hey, I can still watch the original. And the new trash won't delete the original masterpiece.
