Yes, if you would have followed Joel's advice on double gold you would have made thousands of dollars. If you would have done everything opposite of Joel's advice you would have potentially made millions. Years ago Joel said that Bitcoin was worthless and you shouldn't do anything with it because it would crumble. It was a few dollars for a Bitcoin then and now they are hundreds of dollars for one now.

I believe Joel was wright about Bitcoin he said it would go up in value not down it went up 50 to

1 not long after that Joel said the Oil price would fall and it did you would of gained far more money than you would of lost by listening to Joel.

    • fuzzypeach09 FIRST Member Star(s) Indication of membership status - One star is a FIRST member, two stars is Double Gold

In Podcast 119 he literally says "Just don't buy Bitcoins" and goes on to say it is stupid and doesn't make sense. If you were to spend $1000 on Bitcoin that month, even at June, 2011's highest price of $23 per Bitcoin and sold right now, you would make over $26,400. If you would have waited until mid November the price would have dropped to $2.26, making your return today over $281,500.

The whole "I'm an American so I have no right to comment" thing is naive. We don't have a right to vote or make a decision, but the entire world is already seeing repercussions. We DO have the right to an opinion, just like the entire world has the right to an opinion on Trump.

Jack, you actually know more than most of the British who voted!! We are in the shit because UK citizens don't have to pass an intelligence test to vote, and people are xenophobic and think leaving the EU will mean we can clamp down on immigration. But it doesn't. France are going to let people walk in just to spite us.

But low average intelligence isn't just a UK problem

You have Trump getting a bit too far in politics, we just lost most of Europe's faith-based financial 'worth'

To be fair, theres a lot more to it than that. At first it seems stupid to have left but the more you look into it, the more complex it gets.

Oh yeah Callum, never said it wasn't complicated. Loads of people voted out so the UK could keep the money we have to pay to the EU. Apparently On Friday our economy lost the equivalent of 40yrs of EU contribution payments.

Plus it is going to cost huge amounts (and cost time) to separately implement all our trading agreements automatically covered by EU membership that we will now need separately.... and then if our Oil industry were to leave during a Scottish referendum. ..and then..... it could spiral way further out of control yet!! Xx

Please, Racism and immigration are the buzz words of the remain camp, if thats all you think 'leave' had to offer you didn't research it enough and i'd accuse you of being just as ignorant. i personally didn't vote as i couldn't decide what would be better. both sides lied through their teeth and spread miss information with no scrutiny from the media until after the referendum. Ultimately both options need change to be successful, the only fear i have right now is we'll remain the same regardless.

    • LucyPow81 FIRST Member Star(s) Indication of membership status - One star is a FIRST member, two stars is Double Gold

To plant it all on immigration is incredibly naive. The top reason for leaving according to the Lord Ashdown Polls was British sovereignty over our own laws. To dismiss 17 million people as xenophobic/stupid/racist (take your pick) is just as bigoted as you are claiming the people who voted to leave are. I voted to leave as I live in a fishing community that has been strangled by the Common Fisheries Policy. I won't go into the complexities of it but it has ruined the British fishing industry and left a lot of my family friends grasping to keep food on the table. Working class people, disenfranchised from both Westminster and Brussels have spoken and in their volumes. If you look at the demographics of those who voted, it was the disenfrachised who found their voice. I'll provide the link below.

The EU Commission are not elected, they are appointed by other bureaucrats. The MEPs, in reality, have no power therefore the people they represent have no power.

No-one should have to pass any test to vote, if they are a citizen. That's the point of democracy. That is what the Chartists fought for in the 1840's, the Women's Suffrage fought for, for everyone to have an equal say in who we have running things and who we can remove. Would you negate that? They fought and died to make sure everyone gets a say. To overturn the will of the people is not democracy, it is tyranny. It is not a government I would want to live under that defies the voice of the people.

To be clear, the UK hasn't left yet. Article 50 has yet to be announced by the Prime Minister. Therefore, David Cameron played a smart move by resigning, causing the supposed "next PM" Boris Johnson to have the responsibility of following through or not. Here is an explanation of how it affects him.

As a Scottish person currently living in the capital, there is major talks of a second referendum. Obviously, it wouldn't be any time soon but if a second Independence Referendum is held for Scotland, it would probably be voted to pass, unlike last time, due to the majority result of the EU Ref.

I kind of think Scotland is in a interesting position on this. There are a lot of unknowns with the exit that still need to be negotiated - the UK could still remain part of the single market, for example, if they and the EU agree to it - so Scotland can take a wait and see approach to see how things shake out over the next two years while still being able to use this to make a new push for independence if they don't like the results of the exit negotiations.

  • peter_h FIRST Member Star(s) Indication of membership status - One star is a FIRST member, two stars is Double Gold The Gif Guy

Few things on Jack's Brexit talk:

Scotland voted on independence 2 years ago, it failed. Should they vote again, it should pass comfortably. Ireland isn't part of the UK. We left the Commonwealth in the 1920's, and became a Republic in 1949. Northern Ireland is part of the UK, and Brexit could trigger a breakdown of the Peace Process in the North, which will either lead to senseless violence for the 6th decade in a row, or that and also the reunification of Ireland. The UK doesn't use the Euro, and the Euro's value wasn't hugely negatively affected by the drop in the Pound. The UK leaving the EU doesn't make the EU weaker, it makes the UK much weaker though. As a European, it's pretty clear to all of us that the UK leaving the EU is an overall bad decision, with the worst impact being to the UK itself, with it no longer being part of the largest single market in the world, and having a weak currency driving trade and Foreign Direct Investment to literally anywhere else.

as a british person, it's crystal clear to all of us that we're absolutely fucked. no one i know here in scotland is at all happy with the result. also, not only has our prime minister resigned, it looks like boris johnson, one of the biggest twats in the uk, is going to be the next one.

    • Steepled FIRST Member Star(s) Indication of membership status - One star is a FIRST member, two stars is Double Gold

I don't see how the UK leaving doesn't make the EU weaker. The UK has the 5th largest economy in the world and accounted for 1/6th of the EU economy. It's a bad deal for both, and it makes both much weaker.
