That Chans Megastick thing feels misleading. It's the longest insect. To call it largest is potentially dubious. Their bodies are a lot smaller than their leg to leg extended length of 22 inches. Plus they are nowhere near the heaviest, which in my opinion is an aspect of size.

Jeremy "what's the name for your ear bone?"

I couldn't resist the medical nonsense, sorry

the 'ear bones', or collectively known as the osicles, are meleus, incus, & stapes (also known as the hammer, anvil & stirrup in laymens terms, as the boys said), which make a bony chain to transfer vibrations from the ear drum, or tympanic membrane, to the cholclia, a fluid filled structure (shaped like a cockle shell, also known as the inner ear, and lies in the bone of the skull behind the middle ear), which is lined with tiny nerve filled hair fibres, which detect the vibrations the osicles transfer to the fluid, and thus vibrations can be interpenetrated as sound. the structure of the middle ear & shape of the osicles (which pass through the middle ear) have evolved in such a way to amplify important sound frequencies, particularly the high pitch frequencies (which are important for screaming animals for hunters, or screaming children for mothers)

trivia fact, the stapes is the smallest bone in the human body, being small enough to sit on a pinky finger tip with no overhang

... sorry, but when i hear these guys either ask a medical question, or grossly misstate a medical fact, i feel compelled to not only answer, but often get a bit carried away with that answer (and it dosen't help when spell check doesn't recognise half the words i'm using, so apologies if some a spelt wrong)

The fact that I am not the only person who noticed that all the non-Beatles songs in that question were by the Monkees makes me very happy.

Also, Davy was the only British Monkee. Other 3 guys were American and it was a US tv show.

"APRIL is the cruellest month, breeding
Lilacs out of the dead land, mixing
    Memory and desire, stirring
    Dull roots with spring rain..."

April is the cruellest month because it contrasts the dull numbness of winter, forcing painful memories to surface for the (then very-aged) Eliot.

The Canada thing - when Europeans first landed in where Canada now is, they asked what this place is called. They meant the name of the country/land, but the Native Americans just said what they called the village, which was "kanata" or "big village". I learned that either from a high-school social studies course or one of the random history commercials (due to the Canadian Broadcasting Act mostly)

The original Bugatti company was a French company. The Bugatti that exists today is, as you said, owned by VW but the actual name is Bugatti Automobiles S.A.S. and they are still entirely based (and headquartered) in France. VW basically just owns them as a brand.

Yes but as a Canadian I can tell you no one cares, Canadian history was the worst part of school, it was so boring, you can only learn about First Nations traditions for so long before you want to learn about other countries.  I would take Japan and the Renaissance over the origin of Lacrosse, the actual official sport of Canada any day.
